History
In the year 2010, Warspol's government hired a research team for the purpose of creating the ultimate soldier built for combat. Experimenting on a dead soldier, scientists and researchers were able to create a special computer chip, which they named the "Cervello", and implanted it into the soldier's brain. Cervello was able to successfully connect to the nervous system of the brain and transmitted signals which helped brought the soldier back to life. Thus, the first live human computer was created and the research team announced that its work was a success. During battle, they found that this new soldier was able to tell at a glance who was an ally and what was a threat without the help of third parties or special equipment. Cervello had also advanced the human's abilities, making the soldier stronger, faster, and even smarter than the average human being. He was indeed the greatest soldier alive and the government immediately instructed the research team to create more of these soldiers, with the intention that more human lives would be spared and war would be eliminated.
Though researchers were less successful during their subsequent attempts, they were able to create four more soldiers with Cervello implanted in their brains, each having a certain ability enhanced. Together, these five super soldiers were able to take out an entire army by themselves. However, with their revival, the soldiers began to slowly regain their human emotions, and Cervello and human greed clashed within the minds of these super soldiers.
If they were a more advanced species, then why were they taking orders from humans? If they were better than the human race, why were they not the ones ruling Warspol? They were built to eradicate war, but were humans themselves not the main cause of war? If everyone was like them, there would not even be wars!
Thus, the super humans came to a conclusion: humans were the source of war and hence must be eliminated from this world - only the advanced species were allowed to rule the world. The five super humans thus formed the Luce di Umanità (light of humanity).
Their goal: to eradicate the human race and create more Luce.
Their method: declaring war on the human race.
The first thing the Luce di Umanità did was to kill the research team who had created them, taking their dead bodies and performing the same experiment that was performed on them, creating more Luce. Soon afterward, they attacked the government, capturing each personnel and killing them, using their bodies once again to create more Luce. However, they soon came to the conclusion that killing their captives was just a waste of ammunition. As they continued to fight and capture more humans, the Luce decided to perform the same procedure on their human captives while they were alive, making the process more painful for their captives and the resulting Luce less human.
For twenty years now, the humans have been fighting back and though their population has been reduced to a mere 25%, they continue to stay strong and fight back. Warspol, the once peaceful and isolated city, has become a battlefield and turned into a wasteland as a result. The buildings that once stood tall are now nothing but rubble on the ground and the last one standing is Libertà, the Luce di Umanità's headquarters.
How to Play
For this RPG, there are three communities:
warspol,
battaglia, and
universo.
warspol and
battaglia are both used for in character purposes:
warspol is for first person IC posts whereas
battaglia is used for third person IC logs.
universo is for out of character purposes (introducing a new character, posting a hiatus, etc...). Logs will be used in this format:
Logs should be tagged with the characters who are in that log.
Since every character has a communication device (think of a palm pilot), there are two types of post that you can make in
warspol: a typed up post and an action post. A typed up post is a post which your character typed in his/her communication device. It's almost like chatting on IM. Here is an example of a typed up post:
or
Whereas an action post indicates that the character is taking some sort of action in that post and the characters responding to that post are presumed to be near that character. For example:
There are also voice posts. Voice posts are when your character is unable to do a typed up post on their communication device because he/she is injured or because he/she have a disability, like their blind or something. Voice posts will be considered like action posts but characters can respond with either a typed up post or an action post.
All posts should be tagged by what kind of post it is as well as what character is posting it along with their race. For example, if you are a human and making a typed up post, this is how your tags should look like:
!typed, human: *insert name*
If you are a Luce and making an action/voice post, this is how your tags should look like:
!action, luce: *insert name*
It should be made clear that all posts that posted in
warspol are considered public, meaning everyone can see them, whether you are a Luce or a human. If you want to make a post where only the Luce see it, then you put in the subject of the post Locked to all Luce. Same goes for humans.

For this RPG, there are three communities:
Who: The characters who are involved in the log.
When: When the log is taking place (after this event, after this person's last post, yesterday, etc...)
Where: Where the log is taking place (at someone's house, the park, etc...)
Warnings: If there is some violence or some strong adult themes in the log, state them here. Remember, if this is a sex scene, lock it.
Summary: Basically what's going to happen in this log. Simple enough.
Logs should be tagged with the characters who are in that log.
