- I wanted to go and watch the new James Bond movie, but it's rainy and yucky, and it makes me want to go back to bed. These are the days when having kids ruins all plans, because they know we were going to the movies, and now they are complaining that we might not go.

- SOA: I'm still loving this show. Whenever I think it can't get better, it does. They have kept the pressure up. It's not a show for people who have a problem with violence and/or blood, but if you enjoy your dark shows, then you really need to see this show. It's amazing.

- Grey's: I've enjoyed this season, but the last episode made me go WTF. Yes, I know they are setting McSteamy and Callie up but it was a bad, bad set up. Also, I love JDM, but again WTF, that's just stupid. Finally Mary Mcdonnell rocks. She's such a great actress. (When is BSG starting? I can't wait.)

- SPN: So, so tired of the wank. I had this long meta post about Sam, but I'm not like I'll be changing anyone's mind. I find ironic that the people most opposed to the new development are Dean fangirls. WTH? I just don't get it. On the other hand, while fandom is still crazy, the last episode was the best of the season, which makes me look forward to next week (even if it will be a Deanfest considering who wrote it).

- Numb3rs: I don't talk enough about this show, but I still love it, and the Epps family is love. They are the most functional, in a dysfunctional way, family. Papa Epps is love

- SGA: I'm almost glad that this show is ending, because some episodes are getting so boring (like last night).

- 11th Hour: Is anyone else watching? Rufus Sewell is so good playing intense scientist. This is one show where the acting makes up for stereotypical scripts. Also the FBI agent needs a few more facial expressions.

- Also dragons, mine and kids. Don't bother clicking, unless you want to, they mostly need views

Ode to Sera

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
Leave it to the CW to pre-empt the best episode of the season in NYC.

Dear Sera,

I love you. You deliver everything I want from this show. I had high hopes since I found out that you were writing this episode, and boy, did you give me everything I wanted. Leave it to you to have more balls than all the men in that writing team (with the possible exception of Eric Kripke). If they could fire a few people (aka Ben Edlund or those new people who must have not watched the past few seasons) and make you write every single fucking episode, I would be the happiest woman on earth.

Much love,
Titti

If you were a paid user whose time expired, your account didn't automatically revert to Free status. The script that handled that got messed up in our last server move, but it's fixed now. If you got extra paid time because of this, you won't be charged for it, because it's my fault it happened. Merry Christmas. ;)

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
My sister just called us to let us know that her boyfriend and his band are opening up for the Jonas Brothers in Oklahoma City and Dallas in the spring for some kind of rodeo/festival/redneck party (his words, not mine).

My kids asked me if we could fly down to watch them since Ryan could get them backstage.

My first thought was: OMG, I can stalk Chris Kane in Oklahoma City. So, okay I wouldn't actually do it, but the next day is Rascall Flatts and the day before is Taylor Swift. *bangs head* I'm not seriously considering a trip to Oklahoma.

Welcome to Inksome!

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
So in the past couple of days I've gotten a metric assload of new signups. Welcome, one and all! Now, a couple of things to note:

  1. For those of you who bought paid time, I'll get your paid time applied as soon as I get a chance. Don't worry that you'll lose any paid features between the time you paid and the time I set you up - paid time is reckoned from the date and time I mark you as paid (thus giving you access to all the nifty paid features). So no matter how long it takes me to get to you (and I'll get to you soon, I promise!) you'll get all the paid time you paid for.
  2. Paid accounts are handled entirely manually by me, and me alone. And I work a full-time job - Inksome is my side business right now. So anything I do for Inksome I do in my spare time, which I have precious little of. Especially this weekend.
  3. Smooth Sailing, Flexible Squares, and... one other popular layout whose name escapes me are all proprietary to LiveJournal, and are thus unavailable as system themes.
  4. Styles based on the Bloggish theme are b0rked right now unless you put in some custom CSS (I think). I haven't figured out how to fix it permanently. If you can figure it out, and your fix works, I'll give you a permanent account. :)
  5. Email to some providers (definitely Hotmail, and possibly AOL as well) is wonky. That's another issue I have yet to figure out. Anybody know of a good Postfix log parser?

Thanks again to all of you new users, and all of you old users who have been spreading the word, for choosing Inksome!

RPG Pimp

Add to Memories Tell a Friend
I don't use pimp games, and I'm not a mod in this game, but I love this RPG and the mods are really laid back, no stress. So here it goes (I am sparing you the big ass banner):

Premise</a> | Rules | Available Characters | Taken Characters/PBs | Application |

During his escape from Hogwarts after the demise of Voldemort, Rodolphus Lestrange quite literally stumbled over a small gold ring with a cracked black stone. Recognising it as something he’d seen in the Dark Lord’s possession many years ago, he picked it up before fleeing through the Forbidden Forest. Some weeks later, after reuniting with his brother, he discovered what the ring was and a purpose was born in his mind. He would find a way to use the Resurrection Stone to bring back both his wife and Voldemort.

It took three years of research and experimentation, but finally Rodolphus felt ready to try to use the Resurrection stone for more than its intended purpose. On September 1st, 2001 Rodolphus and Rabastan went ahead with the plan. At first it didn't seem to have worked, but despite the perceived failure the act had a costly effect on Rodolphus. Magically drained, prematurely aged and furious at his failure, Rodolphus and his brother started planning again.

What they didn't know, until days later, was that the stone worked. It returned Voldemort in all his youthful glory to life. However, instead of reappearing where they wanted him to (the ballroom of Lestrange Manor), Voldemort returned to where he died: Hogwarts, whereupon he was promptly captured by the teachers and imprisoned by the Ministry.

What they also did not know was that the stone was to have a far greater effect than they expected. For it did not stop with Voldemort. (I'd like to add that people come back at different ages from 20 to 29 in different times, so it's got some really interesting time issues)
