So, what if you're already in the game and there's a certain concept or PB you want to see in use? Here's what you can do. Comment to this post with character concepts. Then people looking for a concept or idea should either place a hold on the hold/taken page, or simply write up the application and turn it in.

If other players have additional ideas or encouragement, they're more than welcome to add on to any submitted character idea with more replies. Let's see if we can inspire some more people to join! Comments for ideas should contain the following information:

Character: The Frog Prince**
Suggested PB: Steve Buscemi. [We briefly had a FP in game and this was his PB]
Why: Because not every character is beautiful? Because sometimes it's what's on the inside that counts? Because Steve Buscemi looks like a frog? Take your pick.

**The Frog Prince currently rules the Water Kingdom, so if you want to be a monarch, have at it!

Character: Sinbad the Sailor!
Suggested PB: Oded Fehr or Zen Gesner!
Why: Because we wants Arabian Nights characters, please!

Character: Anansi
Suggested PB: Samuel L Jackson
Why: Anansi is pretty much MADE FROM AWESOME? Spider people whoo! God knows this game needs more mischievous tricksters.

Character: The Princess from the Princess and the Pea
Suggested PB: Caroline Trentini. Gorgeous and feisty!
Why: The Prince's mother is happy that the Princess has such delicate princess-y skin that she can feel a pea under a kajillion mattresses. The Princess is not so thrilled with it; "get me a fucking doctor, you asshats! I have a weird-ass skin condition!" she keeps saying, but all the queen wants to is marry her off to her son. She eventually ends up running away from the crazy bitch and searching for some way to soothe her poor, hypersensitive skin.

Character: The Wicked Witch of the West.
Suggested PB: Something says BETTE MIDLER, but no.
Why: Why the heck not?

Character: Baba Yaga
Suggested PB: Someone older and mean looking? [Michelle Pfeiffer from Stardust perhaps!]
Why: She's a witch. An evil witch. She ages each time someone asks her a question (but apparently can look younger?). She could travel around in her FREAKING CHICKEN HOUSE.

Character: Pinocchio
Suggested PB: PeeWee Herman or someone equally strange and creepy. Like Michael Jackson.
Why: Because hey, he became a real boy, right? But real boys grow up and what if he didn't quite understand that part of the bargain and spends his life trying to recapture his youth in various twisted ways?

Character: Mary friggin' Poppins
Suggested PB: You could go the Julie Andrews route, but Mary could easily be played kinda creepy. If you wanna go that way, maybe someone who's more than a bit unnerving.
Why: Seeing as how there were at least three books written before the Disney movie, she's perfectly eligible to be in game. And she'd make a very interesting addition to Pentamerone.

Character: The Wicked Queen from Snow White
Suggested PB: Miranda Richardson
Why: Her magic mirror could be related to the Snow Queen's Devil's Mirror; that's why it drove her to near madness with her vanity wanting to get revenge on Snow White. And really who wouldn't want to be a gorgeous diva who will murder to be reassured that she's the prettiest?

Character: The White Queen
Suggested PB: any pb really, preferably someone really crazy (like Tori Amos, the incoherent ranting faerie).
Why: Crazy = awesome. Her journal entries could be in riddles (because she speaks in riddles) and written backwards (because she's Through the Looking Glass. It would be brilliant!

Character: The Red Queen
Suggested PB: any pb.
Why: Because it would be terribly amusing to play her as a communist.

Character: Sherlock Holmes
Suggested PB: Burn Gorman, maybe? Rowan Atkinson a la the first season of Blackadder would be AMAZING though.
Why: Maybe Sherlock's gone a bit off his rocker, and those obscure little things that he sees as significant clues mean absolutely nothing. I could just see him stopping mid-sentence and gasping over like, a lost button or an imagined smell of baked potatoes. Super suspicious, wiser-than-thou and completely British. Also, he does opium, which I'm sure could lead to some interesting character traits/scenarios.

Character: Saitō Musashibō Benkei
Suggested PB: Tak Sakaguchi
Why: For one, we need Shangdi residents. Also, this guy's looking for Shūhei and Genkurō as evidenced by the wanted ads in Pentamerone. He comes with insta-plot!

Character: Mad Hatter
Suggested PB: David Tennant? Johnny Depp? Matthew MacFayden? Depends a lot on which direction the character's meant to go.
Why: I think he's a great character. The Hatter has a lot of potential for diversity and can mix with just about any kind of character. He's a big Wonderland player, and he and Alice are generally linked together. It'd be nice for her to him to play against, whether as a romantic interest, ally, or frenemy.

Character: Virginia Dare
Suggested PB: Emily Perkins maybe? Something tells me she needs to be creepy.The whole Roanoke thing was always a little wee-oooh.
Why: We need more American folklore people. She's one of those real people that has become legend. Virginia's become a staple in American mythology and folklore. Her name's all over various products and services. C'mon, let's see her!

Character: Hua Mulan
Suggested PB: Zhang Ziyi was the face of our old Mulan, but Hollow Art has a ton of Asian PBs to choose from. Here are the Chinese ones, specifically.
Why: For one, we need Shangdi residents. Also, we used to have a Mulan, who left the game a while back. And third, she's an awesome character to have!

Why: For one, we need Shangdi residents. For two, she's the sun goddess for heaven's sake!
