APPLICATION

Attention! characters should be played after their story has already been completed. You can choose to start from a point immediately after their story or after a certain amount of time has taken place. For characters that are "cursed" (ie, the frog prince, the swan princess, etc) those characters can either be totally over their curse, somehow recursed, or have their curse reset after the story has ended. There's a lot of room to stretch with this guideline!

+ Please be sure you have read all the rules and character guidelines before applying!

+ To apply, email the application to pentamerone[dot]storyteller[at]gmail[dot]com. If you have been accepted, you will receive an invitation from this journal to create a journal here at Inksome. When you have done so, friend the mod and request to join both communities with it, and be sure to have your bio already in your journal so we know who it is requesting to join. If you are not accepted, you will again be notified by email, with reasons why. It is up to you to decide whether to attempt to fix your application or to decide not to join after all.

ROLEPLAYING HISTORY: No writing sample is required if you provide three links-- a link to the list of your current games and characters and two links to what you think are your best writing samples within those games. Your writing samples can be a log, journal thread or narrative.
if you have never been in a game like this before, don't fret. Simply include a writing sample using the character you're applying for at the bottom. Be warned! If the mods are unsure of your role playing history or your character concept needs elaboration, we reserve the right to ask you to go back and include a writing sample.

SKILLS & ABILITIES: Remember all gods must be significantly depowered. Please be judicious with the powers and abilities of your characters. Include appropriate limitations and drawbacks.

APPEARANCE: What time period or style do they dress in? Do they have any particular mannerisms? Scars or other physical traits that should be noted?

PB: We don't really care who you use. However they MUST suit the character and the game itself. We reserve the right to reject your PB and ask you to choose another. If your character is an animal, come up with a creative solution.

NOTE: We have three mods. That means three people reading your application. Typical turnaround time is 2 days [42 hours]. Chances are we'll read them in the first day , but it can sometimes take longer if one or more of us is busy.

Also, when commenting, you may choose to use an out-of-character journal [or a character already in game, or hell a journal from another game, we don't care] to place a hold. Please refrain from making in-character journals before you are accepted. If you wind up not being accepted, we don't want unused journals sitting around cluttering Inksome.
