UPDATED AUGUST 25THThe houses aren't exactly the same as Hogwarts, though they are very similar. Your character does not have to have ALL the traits of one house, or even more than half of them. They must simply have more from whatever house they're in than any other. You can have a character with five traits from Osborn and four from Wardwell, which could make a very interesting character, if done well. You can even expand on how the smoke seemed to hover before making a decision, in a case such as that. Keep in mind some traits do contradict. It would be unlikely to have someone both selfless and self-preserving.
