History: Rob was born into a loud, bustling household, right smack in the middle of three boys and three girls. With so many other children in the house, he never really felt like he stood out very well, but he also didn't tend to mind that very much. He never lacked for company, that was for sure.

When Adelaide and Owen met, it definitely wasn't love at first sight - not for her, anyway. She made Owen work for her affections, but at some point he did manage to win her over and after four years together, the couple was wed. Soon after, Rob's eldest siblings, twins Caden and Cara, were born. Sometime after that, they welcomed Hailey into the family. Next came Rob, himself, his brother Tom and his sister Rachel.

Growing up on a farm, Rob has always had a love of animals and the outdoors, though he's never been much of an athlete. He went out for the Quidditch team more because it seemed to be the expected thing to do with a brother like Caden and a cousin like Edward Bole, but he wasn't nearly good enough to make the team and he was honestly a little relieved about that. While he enjoyed being outdoors and exploring quite a bit, he has never been fond of heights and he would be just as content to spend his time leaning against a tree and reading. He participated in those pickup games of Quidditch and Rugby the other boys in his family seemed to enjoy, of course, not really wanting to be the odd man out, but his heart was rarely in it.

Despite his lack of athletic skill, there was no real lack of girls in Rob's life. There was never a shortage of girls who liked that quiet, brooding type and Rob had no problem using that to his advantage. He dated a handful of girls through his teen years, though he couldn't say any of those relationships were intensely serious and he certainly never came close to anything like marriage.

Still relatively young and safety tucked away at Hogwarts during the warm, Rob didn't have much involvement in things. He knew about what was going on, of course, but his parents had been very careful to remain neutral and he chose to follow their example. He kept his head down, more or less, careful not to obviously side with either side of the conflict.

Rob had known for some time that he wanted to be a teacher and once he had completed his education at Hogwarts, he chose to attend a Muggle University, much to his mother's dismay. She had been raised in a strict Pureblood home and did not like the idea of her son pursuing a Muggle education, but she also did not stand in his way of doing so.

When a position opened up at Vance's Academy, he applied, landing the spot and beginning to work there as he finished up his teacher training.

Personality: Rob has always been one of the more quiet members of the Summers family. While he is far from being a pushover, he also wasn't willing to fight and yell for attention. He's always been a more introspective sort and while he loved hanging out with his brothers and sisters and cousins, he was just as content to find a quiet corner and read or study. As difficult as privacy and quiet was to find in such a busy and chaotic household, it's one thing Rob seems to value over almost anything else.

While he enjoys his solitude and he likes to read, you should not make the mistake of thinking Rob is a complete nerd. He has his moments where he can be a total guy, just like certain other males in his family. While he reads for leisure and he was always eager to complete his studies and earn decent marks, that is certainly not all there is to him.

He's passionate about his job as a teacher. He maintains his composure when dealing with an issue at work, but he has a tendency to take out those frustrations on those close to him, growing irritable much more quickly than usual or sometimes launching into a rant about how stupid the whole thing is. It might not show in his gruff manner with his kids, but Rob deeply cares for each one of his students and he almost takes it personally when one or more of them is not doing well.

In his spare time outside of work, Rob can generally be found visiting his parents' home or doing something outdoorsy - camping, fishing, horseback riding. Rob has always loved being out in nature and he has always had a special affinity for animals. It's rare to find him willingly cooped up indoors and when the weather doesn't permit him to be outside, he tends to be a little moodier than usual.
