| Captchas in place |
[Aug. 24th, 2008|07:50 pm] |
Captchas are now in place on Inksome. However, they are not entirely limited to anonymous comments. If you are not logged in to Inksome, and you try and comment on someone's journal, you will be required to answer a captcha even if you choose the "Inksome User" option. I know it's a little annoying, but that's the way the LJ code works (I was able to enable the captcha features in the code currently running on IS).
Now, again, let me emphasize that this will not affect you if you are logged in. If you're logged in, the system assumes you're a human, and will let you comment without a captcha challenge. |

| Anonymous comments in this journal and staff journals |
[Aug. 17th, 2008|08:50 pm] |
We welcome your feedback but we cannot carry on a conversation with an anonymous entity. We do not require that all commenters have journals or even that they be logged in. We do require that all anonymous comments be signed. Even if you choose an alias, we simply ask that you use the same one for each comment.
Let's say that two weeks ago you commented in a news post with a concern. Two weeks later you are still concerned and comment in a different post. But you're anonymous. We don't know if there are two people with the same concern or one person whose question still isn't answered.
So, with that in mind, from this point forward all anonymous comments must be signed or they will be deleted. We will issue warnings because we can't expect everyone to read this. A simple reply to the warning with your name will be fine and we'll be happy to talk to you.
From all of us at Inksome, thank you for your understanding and cooperation. |
