Rules

1. All interactions should take place (or be archived) on [info]marinasylum, and tagged with your character's name. Your character's LJ is for commenting purposes only. You may use it for whatever you like -- another game, memes, archiving, AU logs, whatever.

2. When posting a log, please tag with :action and use the following format...

Characters: Suzaku, Orihime (open to anyone)
Location: in the shelter dining hall
   Time: mid-morning
   Warnings: none yet

3. All posts on [info]marinasylum must have a subject line of one of the following: voice, video, in person, text (only if you have a special communicator). You can only reply to in person posts with in person comments.

4. Game speed was voted by players to be one week in real life = one day in game time. Weekends = night. Mod posts will be made each Monday to signify when night ends and a new day begins, for clarity.

There will be activity checks/how's my driving posts once a month, but activity requirements are pretty laid-back (one or two posts/threads/logs per month). Hiatus notices should go on [info]marina_ooc.

5. This game is not rated. Remember that some people might find sexy or violent content objectionable. If while tagging you start to get into objectionable content, please edit the post to add an OOC warning.

6. On that note, porn is not the be-all and end-all of existence. Exercise moderation: too much smut will result in IC consequences. The AI is not okay with criminals breeding amongst themselves, so frequent sexual activity (procreation-capable or otherwise) will catch its attention.

7. And on that note, this game is omni-friendly. Except for IC, intolerance about relationships het, slash, or femslash will not be tolerated, and can be grounds for removal from the game.

8. Behave like adults. Do not create or encourage drama amongst players; communicate openly with others about your intentions and problems; consider and accept concrit graciously. Violating this rule can be grounds for removal from the game.

9. There is a thing called god-mode. God-mode is when you use OOC knowledge in game, thus making your character psychic; god-mode is when you assume you have the right to do things without mod or player permission; god-mode is when you play a fight scene and never let your character take a hit. Don't do this.

0. Fourth-wall breaking is only allowed if your character canonically knows the series in question. Your character may watch a TV show that has a hot young woman slaying vampires, but that show is not Buffy the Vampire Slayer unless your character specifically in canon references watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. You're not watching Ally McBeal, you're watching Single Female Lawyer. Get it? Good.

Current and prospective players are encouraged to join us at any time in marinachat on AIM!

The mods accept all kinds of questions and feedback. If you have inquiries or suggestions about how we run the game, or if you have complaints about other players, or if you have anything at all to say, leave a comment here.
