OMG I Need Help from My Comic-Lovin' Friends!
Particularly fellow Marvel-ites . . . specifically, fans of NEW AVENGERS.
Because something is driving me absolutely crazy.
Namely, the interaction between Wolverine and Spider-Woman.
The writer has them acting as though they know each other in reputation only. In fact, Wolvie treats her like some . . . kid.
But Jessica Drew [Spider Woman]'s best-friend was Misty Knight, who was roommates with Jean Grey for a time [pre-Phoenix]. Misty Knight was dating Iron Fist -- who also knows Wolvie and was roomies with Luke Cage [who also knew Wolvie]. So Wolvie's worked with Iron Fist . . . with Luke Cage . . . and Spider-Woman has tussled with the X-Men, tussled along side the X-Men . . . she's had the same primary nemsis as Wolvie -- namely the Viper and Silver Samurai . . . and she's tussled along side Wolverine several times, including a long stint when she was 'powerless' in Madripoor, where Wolvie went through great pains to rescue her from a Japanese body-possessing demon. Wolvie knew who she was and knew her real name . . . so . . . what's up with that?
Does anyone follow The New Avengers??? Do they deal with this later on? Was their past history ret-conned?
