BASICS Name: Gaultier Dieudonné Lestrange III Date of Birth: 3rd August, 1932 Played-by: Al Pacino Journal: gaultier
MINUTIAE Personality: Gaultier, the eldest son of a most impressive family. A name was not the only thing inherited from his father, and future generations of Lestrange men; Gaultier became well known for his stubborn ways, quick-witted replies, intelligence and most importantly his ability to attract darling young women. It was these characteristics that lead the boy down the very path his father always assumed he would take -- politics. Once immersed in the deadly game, the Lestrange family began it's ascend to a much more prominent standing in society. Only then did things begin to look more promising in the ways of remaining pure.
With the Lestrange family now suitably settled amongst various other households whose lineage dated back much further than their own, it came as no surprise to Gaultier the hard ships he would now have to suffer in order to keep all that he had worked for. An obsession with his work kept him from enjoying what most men his age would die to have -- an arranged marriage to a most beautiful young girl, a stunning home given as a wedding gift, and the birth of an heir. But still, he continued: his family would have everything they could dream of, no matter how difficult it might be to obtain.
Years working aged Gaultier quicker than he would have liked, but it was a consequence willingly accepted. With his own eldest son now working for the family as he once had, Gaultier finally finds the time to spend at home where he dotes on his wife and pesters his youngest.
Magical strengths/weaknesses/peculiarities: Gaultier has taken a rather odd fascination with genetics, and when he isn't entirely overwhelmed with all that goes on in politics, he studies in a self made lab hidden away in the Lestrange home. As for weaknesses, Gaultier does not know when to ask for help in regards to any subject, usually to his downfall.
Wand: Rune inscribed mahogany wand, twelve and three quarters inches long with a core consisting of dragon bone. Dragons serve as symbols for independence, leadership, and strength -- three characteristics that describe Gaultier perfectly.
Appearance: The most expensive and entirely custom made robes are all that Gaultier will bother to wear, priding himself in setting an unmarred image for the Lestrange family. Blacks and greys are the most common colour found in his wardrobe, all of which have a matching pair of perfectly polished shoes. His hair, always neat and combed down the middle, and his stance is one that frightens most into believing he is far more powerful than previously anticipated.
