So things have been going on here. I'm using this time while the students are on spring break to revamp the game. We've removed a few more characters, ones who either stopped posting or had to leave due to internet issues. The following characters have been removed:

Ashley apologizes that she had to leave and take her characters with her, as she no longer has internet and is unsure when or if that will change. This however means there is now only one PC professor left, Szabina Varga. When I'm finished will her current thread, I will be dropping her and we will no longer accept professors as PCs. We're working on setting up an NPC faculty list, much like the one over at Salem Academy.

We're changing a few other things around as well. The application has been changed. Current players can choose whether to change their application to the new format or keep it the same but if possible we would like for each player to come up with a boggart and Patronus for their characters, and think of at least one secret for them that they wouldn't like someone else to know. If you can, please add that in at some point when you have time, and comment here when you've done so. That will help us with generating plot.

I will be picking up a new character to replace Szabina, and his application is finished, and in the new format. If anyone would like to see it before I'm ready to start playing him, let me know, in case you'd like an example of what the new apps should look like.

Lastly, there is some actual plot in the works. Like...way bigger than I had previously planned. It occurred to me there wasn't much in the way of plot to draw new players or to keep existing ones interested. So I'm branching out to you all as well. What would you like to see here? Becky and Ai will be starting the dueling club for when the students return. I have an idea for overarching plot, but I want to hear your voices as well. I want this to involve everyone, not just a select group of characters. I don't want plot revolving around just a few characters, because if their players leave, we're stuck. that's happened several times already and we won't let in happen again. So if you have suggestions, feel free to pitch in. We'd also like to do another chat soon, and see that we're all on the same page here.

EDIT: I've added my new character wanderkind and removed Szabina except for access to the comms so I can finish her last thread before removing her entirely. As for the newbie, I've friended everyone, but will make a proper intro with him later. Also we have a new character/player to be added later today!

Due to time constraints, Jason will be leaving the game, taking two professors with him. shiftingsight and heal_thyself.

At this point, it may be wise to no longer accept applications for professors as it is very difficult to replace them. We currently now have only two professors, and I myself have been considered dropping mine after this school year is over. Anyway, That is something to discuss with the last professor's player, but I'm giving you all a quick heads-up about it.

Please update your friends list. It is a shame to lose some of these characters but the players have either not played in quite some time, or at all, and made no move to contact the mods to express any reason they may have been having difficulties playing. One player chose to leave before she could be removed. They are of course welcome to reapply, especially if the reason for not being involved turns out to be internet issues or something that prevented them for being able to contact us.

I apologize to anyone who had plots with these characters; feel free to visit our wanted post to pimp for characters to fill whatever lines they may have had. I will make it a point to advertise looking for specific characters.

We will also be doing another random pairing, in a separate post to come later. There will also still be our EVENT happening, hopefully next week. I will be posting a narrative or two, or may journal entries, to get the ball rolling. There are other factors happening soon as well - 5th years will soon be learning about Thestrals - time to decide which ones can see them and why.

For the rest of you with us, and especially our new player Jenna-Katt and our returning player, Crystal: thank you guys for continuing to make this game totally awesome. It's because of you guys we get so excited to play here.

Rachel, who plays both Rafael and Nilufer, has had some important personal issues come up and does not know when she will have time to RP. This unfortunately means she's going to have to leave the game. Maybe at some point in the future she will return, but for now she has to leave the game.

We're sad to see her go and we hope things work out for her soon. Please remove the journals appassionata and crazynilu from your friends lists. =/
