Seeing Death. [Open to all fifth years]
Who: Heinrich Kronenberg and the other fifth years!
What: Discussions about Thestrals
When: June 2nd, during Care of Magical Creatures.
Where: Outside on school grounds.
Rating: PG, maybe PG-13 depending.

Heinrich knew he'd be able to see Thestrals. The amount of times he'd watched - or assisted - Liesl in the torture and subsequent murders of half-bloods, mudbloods, or Muggle filth made it plain he'd seen death. He'd caused it. But he wasn't prepared to see how many other students in the class could see them. It stood to reason, honestly. Durmstrang was a dangerous school. People died in duels, in accidents, all manner of things. There was now an entire class of Combative Magic students who had seen Professor Radomira die, for instance.

So instead of paying attention, Heinrich spent to first few minutes of class, as the Thestrals were brought out, to scan the faces of his classmates and see who could see them, and who could not. So far his discoveries where unsurprising. He was curious to know whether Lidia could or even Dahlia, but for now, his attention was nearly everywhere at once.

Lunchtime Chatting
WHO: Dahlia Kiesl and Matthias Fettkenheuer
WHERE: Outside on the grounds.
WHEN: Wednesday, Lunchtime
WHAT: Dahlia and Ti meet for lunch.
RATING: G
STATUS: Incomplete.

The day had been a mild one. Not too cold, not too warm. Dressed in her uniform with the cloak Heinrich gave her for her birthday underneath her, Dahlia sat perched on a short stone wall. It extended from the school hiding her in it's massive shadow. She had meet Ti not far from here and was sure he'd be able to find his way. There was no plan on why she had set up the lunch date- no ideas on what she'd say. Dahlia just enjoyed his company last time.

The sun shone lazily beyond the shadowed area. Many people seemed to choose today to have lunch outside.Taking out a croissant she pulled off small pieces and began to eat as she watched everyone. That strange gypsy girl had been picking flowers close by but suddenly seemed to run off towards a tree. Not that gypsies were known for being anything other than strange, she thought to herself. Dahlia secretly wished she could be as free and uncontrolled.

The Day Goes On [Open]
Who: Dahlia Kiesl and OPEN
What: Randomness
When: April 13th, midday.
Where: Outside on school grounds.
Rating: PG

Dahlia sat in the courtyard behind the school that looked out to the Quidditch pitch. She was never a big fan of the sport. Sometimes when it was more dangerous of weather it made it interesting to watch, but otherwise she preferred to be doing something else. The males of her family were obsessed with the game though- this was likely why she didn't want to watch it or hear about it. Anytime the season rolled around all she heard in the house was "blah blah blah Quidditch blah blah." But still she stared out at the pitch when the day was nice and she had her free hour.

The day was mild as Spring was setting into the school grounds. Long winters were not rare, but non-rainy Spring days were. She had been practicing her Legilmens since that first meeting with Professor Varga. Well as much as she could. Her brother was the ongoing victim to her practicing as she had started finding it amusing to random try to sneak into his brain when he wasn't noticing. That's what he got for ignoring her when she needed him or treating her like an experiment for his Grey Path classes over the summer holiday. She was getting the hang of entering as a quiet whisper like Prof. Varga could, but still hadn't perfected it.

Tutoring session. [Open to Dahlia]
Who: Szabina Varga and Dahlia Kiesl
What: Work on Dahlia's Legilimency
When: Thursday, after dinner.
Where: Divination classroom

Szabina was expecting a student, a fifth year by the name of Dahlia Kiesl. The girl had contacted her over break, asking to set up some time to work on uncontrolled Legilimency. Szabina knew well that an ability like that, out of control, could be dangerous. Dahlia might see things not intended for her, or worse, invade the privacy of someone who might go to drastic measure to keep her quiet. On the more positive side however, someone who showed a natural talent for it should be taught to wield it well. Szabina was actually looking forward to seeing just how skilled the girl was.

The Reznik New Year's Eve Party [open to selected staff and students]
Who: All invited guests and some unexpected, those of whom can be found here.
What: The Reznik New Year's Eve Party.
Where: The Reznik Estate.
When: 7 PM to 4 AM - Wednesday, December 31st through Thursday, January 1st.

The Reznik New Year's Party was one of the social events of the season. Almost anyone who was anyone, the best and brightest of the wizarding families, would be attending and the grand ballroom was decorated accordingly. All the wreaths and boughs were freshened up and strung with fairy lights - made with only the best and brightest fairies, of course - to give the large room a soft, whimsical glow and clean winter scent. Tables were set about around the perimeter of the room to allow guests to sit and eat if they wished, while trays of hors d'oeuvres floated unobtrusively around the room to serve mingling guests.

Dalibor and Hedvika Reznik had been making the rounds through the growing crowd for about an hour, chatting with guests and greeting others as they arrived. Vincenc, dressed in staid but formal black, had been doing much of the same, while keeping an eye out for the arrival of anyone interesting. Considering who was supposed to be attending, he didn't expect to be disappointed.

Owl to Professor Szabina Varga
Dear Professor,

I know I didn't get to speak to you for long at the Light Path party and I apologize for my strange behavior- I didn't know the punch would be spiked. I'm writing this on behalf of my worried friend. I recently had an incident regarding my legilimens with another student and now I feel I need to gain some control over it. I know it's the holidays and I wish you many happy moments, but I figured I should write you so that once classes start again I may get some private lessons. If you have time that is.

Again sorry to bother you during break.
Happy Holidays,

Dahlia Kiesl

[Thread] Too close for comfort. [Open to Dahlia]
Who: Heinrich Kronenberg and Dahlia Kiesl
What: Have a little discussion about privacy
When: December 9th during lunch.
Where: The dining hall

It wasn't exactly difficult to find Dahlia. She and Heinrich had the exact same schedules, the same exams, the same free time. It was easy to gather she'd be taking lunch at their usual time, and so when he spotted her at the fifth year table as he entered, he went straight for her with no hesitation.

He sat down across from her, his expression serious. "Dahlia. I think we need to have a little talk." There was no lead in, no preamble to him conversation, no opening gambits. He got straight to the point, but lowered his voice as he did. "About Lidia Gorski." He kept his hands folded in front of him, his eyes level with her nose. He wasn't taking any chances. Legilimency usually required eye-to-eye contact, or a physical connection. He wasn't giving her either.

Light Path Party [open to selected staff and students]
Who: All Light Path students and staff who wish to attend, plus any invited guests.
What: Light Path party, yo.
Where: The Ballroom.
When: 11PM to 4 AM, Friday December 12th/Saturday December 13th.

The Durmstrang ballroom had once again been magically transformed into a stunningly decorated hall. Headmistress Eberhardt cast a spell on its doors and on every entrance in. No student or staff member who wasn't invited could enter the room. It didn't matter what spell a clever student tried to cast, by what method they tried to circumvent the spell, there would be no way in without an invitation.

The dance floor was open and clear, and there was food set up for students who would undoubtedly grow hungry before the party's end. Any dish student wanted would appear, just like in the dining hall. The doors opened precisely at eleven PM, but would only admitted those who belonged there. As the party got under way, music filled the rooms as the night's guests showed up.

[OOC: Okay, so again the people who can attend are: Headmistress Eberhardt, Mykhailo Bohdan, Wolfric Faust, Roffe Nordlund, Ivan Baikov, Antigone Kaligaris, Misha Vladimirovich, Taavi Suullinen, Katarina Yurkovic, Kristof Yurkovic, Szabina Varga, Hryhoriy Oleksienko, Vasili Boriesnko, Sasha Vladimirovich, Dahlia Kiesl. If anyone else wants to attend, feel free to come up with a way they got invited (NPC, sibling, friend, etc) and join in].

EDIT: And the punch may or may not will be spiked with alcohol. Drinker beware.

Who: Dahlia Kiesl and Taavi Suullinen
What: Finding out more about the light path
When: Afternoon
Where: Library
Rating: N/A

Dahlia found herself in the library during her break. She didn't have many more exams to do so she decided to catch up on some reading. The library felt like it went on forever, book upon books of every subject she could ever think of. Light seemed to flow from everywhere, just enough to read by but not enough to distract those who studied within the atmosphere. Students were speckled through the different areas, some chatting quietly seemingly forgetting their studies, while other so drawn in by their text that an explosion couldn't break their concentration. The subject signs separated the different areas into further sub-sections. Walking along the rows, Dahlia let her fingers run gently over the bindings. She hadn't been paying much attention to where she was going, but found herself within the healing section of the potions area. Potions were always interesting to learn. How just a pinch more of an ingredient could change the effect of a potion was amazing.

There was only one person in the studying area. Long blonde hair showing but a small side view of the face. Her eyes graced over the appearance to his white stripped tie. She smiled, a light path. It was always a curiosity on why each student picked their path. The person looked young enough for it to be fine to start a conversation with, though the few light paths Dahlia had talked with seemed generally nice people. Dahlia looked around before sitting down with a random book she plucked from the bookcase.

"...so... what are you studying?" It was a dumb question to ask, she knew, but an easy conversation starter.

I apologize for the terribad first post.
Who: Dahlia Kiesl and open
What: Complete Boredom
When: Monday evening
Where: Dining Hll
Rating: None

The evening had fell on the school all to quickly. It seemed all Dahlia's classes were just blending together now that the holidays were almost upon them. This was the first semester that she would not be returning to the family estate for break, instead her parents decided that her and her brother could just stay at the school and get a head start on the second semester's work. Dahlia didn't mind though, she had received a letter from her grandfather wishing her well on her exams and inviting her to his place for a few days during break. She knew that he'd teach her some new defensive charms to help her in her goals for being a light path major in the next year.

The dining hall glowed in the flickering candlelight. Dahlia sat at the end of the fifth year table, giving her space in between the other students and herself. The ambient chatter of students surrounded her with only snippets of conversation being heard. Dahlia placed a book beside her plate.
