When Taavi wakes in the morning, he will find a small black box with a gold ribbon resting on his pillow. A brief note resting on top simply reads, "Happy Birthday, pet."

During lunch, a gift is dropped off for Dahlia Kiesl, by school owl. There's a note that reads, "Happy birthday, Dahlia, from Heinrich."

At around 10 PM Sunday night, an owl drops off a package for Lidia Gorski. The note reads, "I couldn't wait till tomorrow. Enjoy your present! --Taavi Suullinen"

A school owl drops off a package for Lidia in the fifth year common room. The note is signed "Happy birthday, from Liesl Kronenberg."

Dear Professor,

I know I didn't get to speak to you for long at the Light Path party and I apologize for my strange behavior- I didn't know the punch would be spiked. I'm writing this on behalf of my worried friend. I recently had an incident regarding my legilimens with another student and now I feel I need to gain some control over it. I know it's the holidays and I wish you many happy moments, but I figured I should write you so that once classes start again I may get some private lessons. If you have time that is.

I need to request a favor from you. It seems I need to find a place to rent for a day - or night - in Durmstadt. Someplace nice but not too expensive, where privacy and discretion is honored. Since I've never had occasion to seek an establishment like this, I'd need a few suggestions. Do you perhaps have any favorites you'd recommend?
