An unfortunate tragedy has struck the Kronenberg family of Austria, sadly so close to the recent announcement of the engagement of their eldest daughter Liesl. News of the death of Petra Kronenberg, has reached many an ear.
Petra Kronenberg was also a student at the prestigious Durmstrang Institute. She was in her sixth year, and like many a student at Durmstrang excelled in her classes. Durmstrang is known for its intensive classwork. It is not the first time a student - or professor - at Durmstrang has lost his or her life during a duel.
At the beginning of the term, the eldest son of Germany's own Gunnarsson family went missing. His whereabouts are yet to be discovered, but it is widely belived he died, possibly during school activities as well. Shortly before Halloween, a professor, Viktorie Radomira, survived by a sister Judita Radmoira, who is a seventh year at Durmstrang, died during a duel in her own classroom. Petra Kronenberg's death, as well as that of the boy she is presumed to have duel with, Boyan Stamboliev, make the third and fourth such deaths this school year alone.
Some say Durmstrang is a school built on the motto 'survival of the fittest', but others worry that the death count in students and staff alike is cause for alarm. Whatever the case, many an eye is turned toward Durmstrang, in hopes that no more lives will be lost this year. Headmistress Gertrude Eberhardt has assured us that studies at Durmstrang continue as always, and that there is no more cause for alarm this year than any other.
Boyan Stamboliev is survived by a brother, Petar Stamboliev, a Durmstrang graduate, and a sister, fourth year Radka Stambolieva, as well as their parents Petar and Emiliya Stamboliev. Petra Kronenberg is survived by her sister, eighth year Liesl Kronenberg, and her brother, fifth year Heinrich Kronenberg, and their parents, Dietmar and Hilde Kronenberg. Condolences go out to both families during this time.
