(Thread) "Studying" Outside (Open!)
Who: Petya and Helio
What: Petya is "studying"
When: Sunday the 28th
Where: Outside on the Durmstrang grounds
Rating: PG

A book laid open in the grass as Petya leaned back on her palms and soaked in the sun. She dressed as she normally did, no shoes, the necklace which her father gave her when she was a child, and she had flowers in her hair. She supposed she should be studying but it was too nice outside. Besnik who was perched nearby gave a low, soft hoot when he saw someone approaching not too far away.

Quidditch Match
(OOC: Posting early so I don't forget this time)

12th match: Dark vs. Light
Score: Dark: 80, Light: 230

Light Path's showing us they're not out for the count yet! In incredible show of skill, Light Path trumps Dark for the first time during the quidditch season. The Light path team, running like well-oiled machines, matched Dark gol for goal. Chasers and Beaters alike fought to make and block goals. Keepers did a great job of preventing either side from scoring more than eight goals during this length game.

In fact, it was anyone's game throughout, until just as it because to get cloudy and threaten rain, Light's Seeker managed to catch the Snitch only seconds before Dark's, ending the game. Predicitions as to what happens next and who's going wto win this crest this year are still up for debate.

Quidditch Match
11th match:Grey vs Light
Score: Grey: 190, Light 80

Light Path falls further in ranks as grey Path is again victorious. Apparently the party the previous night was not any sort of hindrance for grey team players. In another heated match, Light Path took the lead earlier, but it was again quick work on the part of Grey's Seeker that the game ended swiftly, letting the team players nurse those hangovers, as well as start a new round of celebrations!

The season's heating up, but it's still anyone's guess as to who's going to stay in the lead!

Grey Path Party [open to selected staff and students]
Who: All Grey Path students and any invited guests.
What: Grey Path party, yo.
Where: The Ballroom.
When: 11PM to 4 AM, Friday June 19th/Saturday June 20th.

The Durmstrang ballroom had once again been magically transformed into a stunningly decorated hall. Headmistress Eberhardt cast a spell on its doors and on every entrance. No student or staff member who was not invited could enter the room. It didn't matter what spell a clever student tried to cast, by what method they tried to circumvent the spell, there would be no way in without an invitation.

The dance floor was open and clear, and there was food set up for students who would undoubtedly grow hungry before the party's end. Any dish student wanted would appear, just like in the dining hall. The doors opened precisely at eleven PM, but would only admitted those who belonged there. As the party began to get under way, music filled the room as the night's guests showed up.

[OOC: Okay, so again the people who can attend are: Headmistress Eberhardt, Nastasiya Kostenko, Dorottya Kováts, Kirsten Nordlund, Kazimeras Seraichyk, Sasha Vladimirovich, Theonia Lekkas, Taavi Suullinen, Misha Vladimirovich, and Ion Laieshi. If you play a Grey Path, you may invite whoever you choose. If anyone else wants to attend, feel free to come up with a way they got invited (NPC, sibling, friend, etc) and join in. Also, please tag your characters as they enter!]

EDIT: And the punch may or may not will be spiked with alcohol. Drinker beware.

P-A-R-T-Y? Cause we're AWESOME
Who: Dark Path Students who want to celebrate!
What: Post Quidditch Party!
When: after the last game
Where: Dark Path Common Room
Rating: best say R to be safe? who knows!

It was rare to catch Markos with a genuine smile, but he was in high spirits at the moment. Dark Path had won, he'd had a decent amount of vodka and he was actually being social, celebrating with his teammates and whoever else happened to be in attendance.

It had been a great game. Markos picked up another shot and threw it back, grinning from ear to ear. It might be rare for him to act so happy, but he had had a really great day!

Quidditch Match
10th match: Dark vs. Grey
Score: Dark: 170, Grey: 120

The lead is taken by Dark Path, as they win two weeks in a row. Even down being down a keeper didn't stop Dark from pulling past Grey. Grey scored goal after goal with no one to stop them, but in the end Dark's seeker surged forth faster and caught the snitch, ending the game before Grey could completely dominate and pull too far ahead to be caught. In a stunning game that lasted well over two hours, Dark and Grey seemed to take this battle seriously, and Dark path players redeemed themselves from their past losses to Grey.

Quidditch Match
9th match: Dark vs. Light
Score: Dark: 200, Light: 60

Light Path's starting to fall behind as they lose two weeks in a row, first to Grey and then to Dark Path. In a quick and dirty match that lasted only a short hour, Dark ran Light path into the ground. Light Path lost both their Seeker and a Beater during the match, both players carried off to the infirmary during play. Light Path valiantly tried to keep it together but without the prime player needed to make a win, Dark path caght the snitch and won the game with ease.

Sorry this one's so late guys!

Another jam session? [Misha & Antigone]
Who:Misha Vladimirovich & Antigone Kaligaris
What: Misha chills with Antigone, possibly jamming
When: Backdated to Sunday the 24th
Where: Light path Common room first and then who knows!
Rating: PGish?

Misha was actually rather eager to spend time with Antigone again. He'd liked the girl, and the fact she played guitar like him was major bonus. He left Sasha to talk to his roommate and headed back to the Light Path Common room to meet Antigone. While he waited, he settled down and starting picking out an old Ukrainian folk tune on his guitar. He began humming along, not quite singing the words as he waited for his music partner to arrive.

Transfiguring and Healing [Open to Vincenc]
Who: Taavi Suullinen & Vincenc Reznik
What: Taavi does a bit of independent studying, documenting a link between healing and transfiguration.
When: After dinner, Tuesday
Where: The library
Rating: PG-13ish

Taavi knew, especially since there was precedence for it, that there was a strong link between healing and transfiguration. He knew he still had plenty of time before he got to eighth year [if he did], but he had the idle thought that a link between the two - and not necessarily in the same vein as the book he owned - could be documented, and explored. If anything it can be used to develop new way of healing injured people. Maybe even healing mental illness.

The idle thought grew stronger until Taavi decided he needed to write down everything he was thinking, and possibly seek out some research. It was with this in mind that he settled himself in the library with three books, deeply engrossed in his work and oblivious to those around him. Blond hair formed a curtain around his face, hiding it from view and making him look, at quick glance, like a girl.

After a long moment, Taavi took a break, sliding his most recent letter from his penpal Anabella out to continue writing to her. It had been a while, and he felt bad for taking so long to respond. She was incredibly flirty, which he wasn't really sure how to handle, but he decided to just relax and write back. No harm no foul, right?

Seeing Death. [Open to all fifth years]
Who: Heinrich Kronenberg and the other fifth years!
What: Discussions about Thestrals
When: June 2nd, during Care of Magical Creatures.
Where: Outside on school grounds.
Rating: PG, maybe PG-13 depending.

Heinrich knew he'd be able to see Thestrals. The amount of times he'd watched - or assisted - Liesl in the torture and subsequent murders of half-bloods, mudbloods, or Muggle filth made it plain he'd seen death. He'd caused it. But he wasn't prepared to see how many other students in the class could see them. It stood to reason, honestly. Durmstrang was a dangerous school. People died in duels, in accidents, all manner of things. There was now an entire class of Combative Magic students who had seen Professor Radomira die, for instance.

So instead of paying attention, Heinrich spent to first few minutes of class, as the Thestrals were brought out, to scan the faces of his classmates and see who could see them, and who could not. So far his discoveries where unsurprising. He was curious to know whether Lidia could or even Dahlia, but for now, his attention was nearly everywhere at once.

Quidditch Match
8th match:Grey vs Light
Score: Grey: 140, Light 90

The pattern is finally broken, as Grey path emerges victorious over Light path for the first time this season. It had been a close game, scores running neck and neck all game long. Not one member of either team was lost, and it was the cleanest match we've seen played all year. Both teams' Seekers were close to catching the Snitch twice before Kirsten Nordlund caught it on seconds before Katarina Yurkovic could.

This newest victory leaves Grey path in the lead for most games won so far. As the season continues though, we can only imagine what will happen next.

Lunchtime Chatting
WHO: Dahlia Kiesl and Matthias Fettkenheuer
WHERE: Outside on the grounds.
WHEN: Wednesday, Lunchtime
WHAT: Dahlia and Ti meet for lunch.
RATING: G
STATUS: Incomplete.

The day had been a mild one. Not too cold, not too warm. Dressed in her uniform with the cloak Heinrich gave her for her birthday underneath her, Dahlia sat perched on a short stone wall. It extended from the school hiding her in it's massive shadow. She had meet Ti not far from here and was sure he'd be able to find his way. There was no plan on why she had set up the lunch date- no ideas on what she'd say. Dahlia just enjoyed his company last time.

The sun shone lazily beyond the shadowed area. Many people seemed to choose today to have lunch outside.Taking out a croissant she pulled off small pieces and began to eat as she watched everyone. That strange gypsy girl had been picking flowers close by but suddenly seemed to run off towards a tree. Not that gypsies were known for being anything other than strange, she thought to herself. Dahlia secretly wished she could be as free and uncontrolled.

Davit Beridze has lunch. [OPEN]
WHO: Davit Beridze and OPEN
WHERE: Outside on the grounds, under a tree.
WHEN: Wednesday, Lunchtime
WHAT: Davit is having some downtime between classes and runs into someone. IT COULD BE YOU!
RATING: G
STATUS: Incomplete.

The most favorite thing Davit Beridze loved about Germany was the pastries. He couldn't get enough of them and it was the only time he liked having a high metabolism when he munched on its goodness. Having finished his meal of substance, he found he still had some time before his next class. Grabbing a couple Berliners, he headed outside where the weather seemed to be getting consistently warmer. Finding a good spot under a tree, he placed his precious pastries in his lap before digging out a book. It was one of the mystery novels his father wrote and it was so very nice to be reading a language he was familiar with; Georgian.

He took out his watch and glanced at it. Okay, it seems he has a good 1/2 hour before he would have to go to his next class. His homework was done so he had nothing really to worry about. Now, this would be a good time to relax at least for a little bit. No, he didn't have anything particular on his mind. Lela, his muggle girlfriend, briefly flitted into his mind as he thought the dark beauty of the forest would be like the forest the two imagined about when they were little playing pretend games. Of course, he wouldn't dream of bringing her here... not now, especially with the rumors of attacks on students. He opened his book to the last spot he was at as he munched on one of his pastries. Nothing like a nice snack and a good book.

Quidditch Match
7th match: Dark vs. Grey
Score: Dark: 80, Grey: 290

As we return from break, the Quidditch matches continue to heat up the school. The pattern continues as once again Grey trounces Dark, this time in a stunning match that left the dust settling for hours. Early on in the game, due to impressive Beater work, one Dark Chaser was injured. A foul was called on some shady play involving one Grey Path Beater, but in the scuffle, the Dar Path lost the most valuable player on the team; their Seeker.

Dark refused to give up the fight, continuing to score and doing a fine job of keeping Grey from scoring, until this time Dark's Keeper was lost in play. Grey scored multiple goals rapidly and easily, the game seemingly in the bag for them. This was confirmed when Grey's Seeker caught the Snitch with not competition, ending a short, but action-packed game.

Three turns counter-clockwise. [Open to Markos]
Who: Liesl Kronenberg and Markos Mogensen
What: Have a discussion and we'll see what else!
When: After classes Monday the 31st.
Where: The Potions classroom
Rating: PG, PG-13 maybe?

Liesl was looking forward to the Potions room being empty. She hadn't taken Dark Libations, but had been quite close to deciding that route instead of Dark Charms. She had elected to take Poisons as her elective, and still found herself sometimes working on them in her spare time. Like now. She had some notes from Professor Basova on the latest concoction to try, and was ready to work on it. It was supposed to be quite tasteless, dissolve in the system with little trace, and oh the benefits of it! It was not merely a deadly poison, but had merits while the poison was first becoming active.

She entered the classroom, still dressed in her uniform, and chose a cauldron a ways back from the door. Her ingredients were in small bottles that were labeled in ways she could recognized, but didn't exactly advertise their contents to others. She didn't need anyone standing nearby being too curious about what she was brewing. She set down a small bottle given to her by Lidia Gorski for Christmas, preparing to pour the finished contents of her poison into it. That is, one it was finished. She looked up from her work as the door to the classroom opened.

Who: Adele and Markos
What: Tutoring and rare non-bitchery
Where: Their commons and beyond
When: Friday after classes
Rating: PG, possible foul language

Adele was in a particularly foul mood, which was evident in her eyes as she cast disapproving glances at anyone that passed by her. Even the students she was okay with got the stink face! The day had been annoying and long, the commons were chillier than she would have liked, that one girl from Greece that always talked loudly and went on and on about nothing important (loudly) was standing five feet away, and...just everything. She was dissatisfied with everything in general. On top of that, she knew that her tutor wouldn't be the one to put up with any of it. The fact that she would have to simmer down just pissed her off more. She knew well enough to know that he wouldn't put up with it. Her want to keep him around was just strong enough to make her not want to mess it up. He was sort of brilliant at what he did. Adele demanded the best and when it came to tutors, he was it. Didn't hurt that she didn't mind him much either.

She glanced down her nose at her books, then to the door. Damn books. Damn classes! He wasn't running behind, she was just impatient.

Pensive Introspection. [Open to Natasiya]
Who: Kazimeras Seraichyk & Natasiya Kostenko
What: Kaz attempts to be social with a fellow Grey path
When: Wednesday after classes.
Where: On the front steps of the school
Rating: PG probably

Kaz was no fool. He had no intention of going off into the woods. Or even stepping off the school steps themselves. He did however, sit in contemplation. He didn't know as much about magical creatures as the light paths who took the course. His focus was more on people and languages than the animals in various areas. But he could help wonder what it was that had attacked those two students, and why. Whatever it was seemed to not mind leaving the woods, which left him unsettled.

It was still light out, which was why he had little problems with staying out. Quidditch practices were being observed by professors now, because they were at night. There was a general air of nervousness flitting about the student body, as though everyone was expecting something else to happen. Kaz fervently hoped nothing did. Sitting where he was, he wasn't expecting any sort of company, and looked up in surprise when someone joined him.

Studying will do you good. [Open]
Who: Kazimeras Seraichyk & Sorina Machvaya
What: Kaz gets ahead in some schoolwork, until he's interrupted
When: Tuesday, around 6:30 PM, before Quidditch practice
Where: The library
Rating: PG, I expect

Kaz was torn between being happy to be back, and being sad break was over. He'd had a great time traveling, and had a lot of information he'd discovered written down for posterity. He half-wished he was still out there, still discovering things, but at the same time, he was happy to be back, with his nose in a book. He was in the midst of translating some sentences into Troll, a language he wasn't fluent in yet. With good reason. It was hardly even a full language. Full of grunting snarling sounds, it seemed to lack an actual grammatical structure, which made translations difficult.

With a small sigh, he sat back looking out in the direction of the grounds. He couldn't really see them from where he sat, but he knew which way they were. And the woods. What was in those woods? And how was it - or they - continually escaping being seen? He wasn't foolish enough to go explore, but he was curious to know the answer.
