| Abnormally Attracted To Sin Presale |

Tori's 10th studio album Abnormally Attracted To Sin is due to release on May 19, 2009. If you preorder from iTunes, you will receive a code from Ticketmaster to get tickets 1 day before everyone else. You can find the information here. That page includes a list of cities to be part of Tori's tour as well as a link to preorder from iTunes. |

| New Album Release Date and Info |

Everything Tori reports that the new album, Abnormally Attracted To Sin is set to release on May 19, 2009. There will also be a DVD included with the Deluxe Edition.
Also of note in that article: If you're in Austin, TX and going to the South By Southwest Music Conference on March 19, Tori will sneak peek some of the songs from the new album.
Edit: Since no one chose to participate in the layout contest, I ended up making one myself. So voila. Strange Little Girls is my least favorite album musically and my favorite visually. Go fig. |

| Comic Book Tattoo |

Boy is it hard to get a community going. Like I said, I want to keep this thing as up to date as possible. Hopefully as Inksome grows, so shall the community.
Special Edition Comic Book Tattoo to be released...eventually.
While this special edition isn't limited, signed, or numbered, it is supposed to come in a matte black slipcase with silver foil accents and logos. However, the release date seems to still be up in the air as Amazon.com says it was to be released on October 29th, undented says it was supposed to be released on November 19th, and yet Amazon still lists it for Pre-Order as of today, November 25th. So, keep your eyes out. Hopefully it'll be out by Christmas for anyone who would like to gift a fellow Tori fan or gift themselves with this edition of the book.
In other news, the layout contest is still open! I will keep announcing it until someone makes me a freakin' layout. ^_^ |

| A Moment's Absence |

My apologies for starting up this community and then kind of disappearing for a few months. Life does that to me sometimes. I'll try to be more vigilant in keeping tabs on Tori news and trying to keep this community active. So today I have a few things. First is an article via undented.com regarding Tori's upcoming projects among other things. It's from mid-October, but I hadn't read it, so maybe you haven't either.

Second, if you have a Twitter account, I would encourage you to follow the hereinmyhead feed on there. Here In My Head is one of my favorite Tori fansites out there, and it's kept up to date pretty well. Their Twitter feed is probably going to be my major source of Tori info and news anyway. So if it's not here, it'll be there.
Finally, the layout contest I posted here remains open. I sent community invites out to everyone with Tori Amos listed as an interest who has ever updated their journal. Hopefully all those people will join, they'll be artistically inclined, and we can get a layout for the community. So if you're new, welcome! I encourage you to enter something into the contest. As you can see, the community looks rather bland at the moment.

Welcome to the first Tori Amos community on Inksome. Hopefully we'll be a successful one. Feel free to introduce yourself in comments. If you haven't read the community rules in the user info, please read them here.
To kick things off, I would like to announce our first monthly layout contest. Each month members can submit one header image and a matching default icon. All submissions will then be put to a vote for all community members to vote on and the winner will be the new layout for a month. Depending on how active community is the contest time may be extended or shortened at my discretion.
Basic Rules:
1. The header banner must be 750 pixels wide and 300 pixels tall with a 1 pixel solid color border. The total width must include the border, meaning your actual banner is 748 pixels wide and 298 pixels tall before you add the border. Obviously, it should be related to Tori Amos.
2. The matching icon must be 100x100 pixels with a 1 pixel border. It can be animated or still.
3. All entries must be posted in a comment to the monthly contest announcement post (i.e. this post). Comments will be screened to preserve anonymity, creativity, and prevent bias. You must have your own place to upload your images to.
4. When it comes time to vote, I will upload all entries to a general Photobucket account and repost them all together in the voting post so that all entries remain anonymous. If you have entered something, don't tell anyone which entry is yours. Only registered members may vote.
