(Log) Gretel and Smee (Needing a place to pirate)
Who: Gretel and Smee
What: Gretel needs a boat
When: Afternoon, Tuesday
Where: Open water
Rating: G
The wind caught the sails and blew the ship forward across the water. Smee stood at the front of the boat. He took a deep breath, looking out over the waves, something caught his eye. A small boat was floating toward his ship. "What the…" he squinted and then smiled smugly. He knew she would come back.
Gretel rowed hard. She wiped her brow and rowed harder. The ship came into her view and she sighed. I can't believe I'm going back. She stood when she came to the side of the boat. "Ahoy," she grinned looking up at Smee.
"Ahoy," his tongue clicked against the roof of his mouth, making a distinct sound. He crossed his arms.
"Permission to come aboard Captain Smee?" she asked with the same sass in her tone.
He had grown familiar to that tone. He laughed lightly. "Permission granted Miss Gretel," he said haughtily. "And to what pleasure do we owe this lovely unexpected visit?"
Gretel laughed as she climbed up. "I was in the neighborhood and the weather was just so lovely," she grinned. "I thought I should stop by for some tea," she swung her legs over the edge of the ship and dropped her feet onto the deck.
"How kind of you to stop by to your old friends, I'm assuming you're bringing back our boat which you permanently borrowed from us," he looked down at the tiny rowing boat and sure enough it was the very boat she took off in a few months before.
"Under one condition," she grinned and leaned against the railing.
This is going to be good. Smee grinned smugly and crossed his arms. "And what would that be?"
"That you take me back on board as a crew member."
"Sounds simple enough dear but you have quite the track record. You might need to make some minor concessions for us to consider your return," Smee said smartly. She was a brilliant pirate and of course Smee wanted her on his crew but he didn't want to just take her back. He wanted more.
She rolled her eyes. "What did you have in mind?"
"A contract perhaps… some new jobs for you to pick up…new responsibilities," he grinned.
"What do you want exactly?" she took a step closer to him.
Smee instinctively took a step back and laughed. "Nothing like that dear," he said putting his hands up in front of him. Smee really didn't want anything sexual from Gretel. He was more interested in having a personal servant. "I was thinking more along the lines of laundry, dishes, cooking, special missions, you know."
Gretel frowned. "Boo, you're not fun," she teased. "I suppose," she looked at her fingernails as if she had something better to do. "Better work on that contract and have it to me in a few hours," she grinned again and hopped over the railing. "I'm going to bring my things on board now."
"I will Miss Gretel," he nodded.
