Hello all.

I just wanted to let you guys know that I won't be around the next few days. My sister is sick, and I learned yesterday that her condition has gotten worse and they had to move her to the critical care unit. Basically, we got in the car and headed to PA immediately. I would tag, but my internet access here is severely limited.

I will be back either Saturday or Sunday, and will catch up on tags then. If her condition improves, I will be home sooner.

I guess first and foremost I should make the personal introduction. I'm Jessi, and I have indeed taken up a toon here, but we'll get to that in a moment. If any of you folks play over in the affiliated Salem Academy you probably know me, and those from Uber Alles might be slightly aware of me :D . I have been recruited to help the newly crowned mod Katie out around here a bit, and I look forward to chatting with you folks!

Ok, so um... First of all. Hi everyone!! I'm Katie (in case you didn't know) and I'm um, now kind of the Mod here. I'll let that sink in for a moment.

Ok then. You're still here? Good. Things may be chaotic for a little bit, and I know that activity has been at a snail's pace here but that is all going to change. Promise. Basically? I just want to get this game back to where it was. I know Shell and Ai trust me (ha!) to run this game the way it should be. With that in mind:

So we've been totally AWOL. We sincerely apologize for that. We'd mentioned before losing inspiration for this game, and instead of letting it die, we're handing over the reigns. Ai and I will be stepping down as mods and Katie will be taking the helm. She's been an incredible asset to us the last few months and we can't think of a better person to hand the community to. A new player, Jessi, that we know and trust from another game, will be assisting as co-mod.

Thank you guys for the last two years, and please give Katie and Jessi your support. As of right now, we're just going to be regular players, so we should still be around. =)

Yes, we your mods have chosen to drop some characters as well. If anyone had plots with these characters, you may contact us to help you decide what's the next bet for you. We can also discuss whether you'd like to see some of these characters recast. For the character dropped due to time constraints, the players [mods included] sitting on these characters felt it was unfair to hold them without being very active with them. We hope that if others wish to pick them up, they can feel free to do so and be more active than we can be. Also, as for us mods, we don't like us having monopoly on most off the character sin game. When we go on hiatus, the game could well suffer based on the sheer amount we play. That's quite unfair to you all. So we hope this gets things moving a bit more.

This one, to be exact. I will not be making any decisions regarding activity/change in moderation of this game yet. Considering the enormous burst of activity that followed the announcement of the increased activity rules, I think I'd like to wait a bit longer and see how we all do. All suggestions made on that post however will remain viable, and should this come back up again, I'll be sure to discuss with you all before we make any further decisions.

I will however, continue with removing the inactive characters that did not meet the deadline last week.

A question for you all.

Before we go enforcing the new activity rules, and removing people, I thought I'd pose a question to you all.

How would you feel about relaxing this game to the point of it being an unofficial game/ writing community of sorts? I say this because, well we've been modding it for two years now, and to be honest, we're tired of it. Not tired of playing, tired of running it. We don't want to close down though because people have characters they want to play, us included.

What I mean by a writing community is this: no update limits. No activity checks. We'd still do round-up posts, just because they're a great way to tell where people are in threads, especially if you're trying to track one. Just have consideration for your fellow player. If you're in a thread with them, just reply in your own time, so long as you don't keep them waiting for months. Put up a new post when you want. Have freer reign. We won't babysit, we won't do anything besides play and mediate only if something major happens. We'll change the rules, but we'd still have writing standards. People can pick up whatever characters they want, so long as they do actually play them from time to time.

We won't really advertise. You can tell friends to throw together a bio and join. We can still play out whatever plots we've planned, and I'll probably still generate more from time to time. You don't have to do anything you don't want to, and you CAN do what you come up with.

We run another game that will soon require a lot of focus. And like i said before, this one's been going for years. It's hard to keep it fresh, to keep wanting to mod. But I know you all still want to play or you'd have left already.

So. What do you guys think? Suggestions, agreements, disagreements, cookies, all are welcome.

It occurs to me that the Fool could be wreaking a considerable amount of havoc, so I'm asking for suggestions and/or requests ... does anyone in particular want the Fool to advise/wreak havoc/tap dance/other in any specific place so that they can interact with It?

I'm sure It could find a way to work itself into the court, for instance.
