⌛ This batch and the next two are great examples of how I can make an unnecessarily large amount of icons out of very few images. I mean, I think the grand total of images I was initially working with was 10 or 15... and the total count for both batches is over 300? To be fair, though, this was my--first! finally!--time doing black and white icons as well, which upped the count simply because... b&w doesn't really seem like a variation, so much as a whole new way of presenting the image, so I wound up having to duplicate a lot of stuff just because of the black and white icons? Yeah?
⌛ Anway... this batch is pure David Tennant, as he is--photoshoots, award ceremonies (I think that's what's behind the Storm Trooper tee picture), bit of his appearance in Top Gear... reeeally not a lot of images here, yet there're still a ridiculous amount of icons. Both of these batches involved a lot of experimentation with light textures and typography (I love typography ♥), which is part of the reason. That, and I was a bit inspired with the text to use this time? Even a bit from actual DT quotes. ♥

⌛ NOT for LJ/Inksome use! The file sizes are too big for that craptastic 40kb or less rule, so these are for use on other forums and sites that allow for bigger file sizes (160kb and above, to be exact. Yeah, yeah, I know.)

Actually, I hate Photoshop in general more with each version. My absolute favorite Photoshop ever was Elements 2.0 (yeah, go ahead and laugh), because it was easy, quick, had ALL the functions I wanted to use all in convenient locations, and it basically just made the whole experience a lot less aggravating. But my Mac won't take my copied-from-a-copy-from-a-copy-on-someone-else's-computer Elements 2.0 since I switched to Leopard, and I don't know what happened to my Windows version, nor are any torrents available. So I'm stuck with PS7 and above, which includes that horrible horrible program known as ImageReady. Woe.</sub>

Anyway... they're not perfect (and ohhh, how that lack of perfection irks me), but. I already spent way longer on it than I meant to, so, I'm stopping here.

⌛ I'm probably going to try redoing at least the basic animation with a smaller layer count and smaller dimensions someday, in the hopes of lowering the file size enough for LJ/IS use, but... I need to get over my GAR STUPID IMAGEREADY frustration first. That, or find an older version of PS...

I would call this "the lazy man's icon post."

⌛ Tennis stock from an old set of clean crops I forgot about for eons until I stumbled across them the other day. I basically just went through and brightened the images (color version one) and then applied various other colorings (color versions two through three) to come out with a... bit of a mixed bag, which I then sort of randomly went through and picked out the ones I liked best. Feel free to request a different coloring variation for a particular crop if it is not available; I have all of them for each icon, I just didn't see the need to post them all.
⌛ Avatar quotes are a combination of quotes from the television show and quotes from Avatar: the Abridged Series. The difference should be fairly obvious.

I uploaded the text- and effects-less colorings of all the previous icons, plus a few more I managed to get colored, as well as the clean blanks of everything I had yet to color (they're perfectly usable, no point in wasting them) but real life is intruding in this particular icon batch, and as long as coloring takes and as many icons as there are left to redo, if I keep plugging at this one particular set it'll take months, so screw it. I'm labeling this one as done.

I tried to give each icon a unique look (save for certain 'mood' icons that I wanted to look similar to each other), but as a result I kind of got burnt out in some areas and actually used textures I'd used both previously in this batch as well as in past batches. Apologies for the repetition.

It should also be noted I know very little about P4.

I went through and changed them, again, this time to a simpler (?), symbol-less system, where only mod-related posts kept a character beside the tag (still an exclamation mark). The system is as follows: m - medium, s - series, t - type, y - year. I also shortened some of the series names because they were ridiculously long and I always include the full title in the actual post at least once or twice anyway. I dunno if things will stay this way, though; I can never seem to be satisfied with the tags for this comm.
